Assess nonpoint source nitrogen contribution to the Texas coastal zone from septic systems

Project Description

Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi will identify pollution from on-site sewage disposal systems in Copano-Aransas, Nueces-Corpus Christi-Oso, and Baffin Bay. The goal is to present scientific evidence of nitrogen pollution from on-site sewage disposal systems to the public, quantify the nitrogen loads, and educate the public about the importance of reducing nitrogen loads to waterways.
