Project Description
The project's primary task will be the development and implementation of Water Quality Management Plans (WQMPs) within Jefferson County and within the Taylor Bayou, Above Tidal, Alligator Bayou and Hillebrandt Bayou subwatersheds. Best management practices will include irrigation land leveling, nutrient management, pasture planting, brush management, prescribed grazing systems, wetland creation and wetland wildlife habitat management.
