Project Description
The Texas Legislature requires the General Land Office (GLO) to report the economic and natural resource benefits derived from Coastal Erosion Planning and Response Act (CEPRA) construction projects every biennium. This study finds the state of Texas receives $11.0 in economic and financial benefits for every dollar of state funding invested in these projects. This result is based on analysis of 13 CEPRA Cycle 7–9 (FY 2012 through FY 2017 projects, which is a representative sampling of the CEPRA program.
