Indian Point East Shoreline Protection Phase 2

Project Description

This project completed additional shoreline protection by installing 1,800 linear feet of breakwaters at east Indian Point. The breakwaters protect coastal habitats from wave action, saltwater intrusion, and continued shoreline erosion, preserving 50 acres of critical seagrass, coastal marsh, lagoons, and associated uplands of Indian Point Park and the Sunset Lake Bird Sanctuary.
