Nueces Bay/Inner Harbor Zinc Monitoring

Project Description

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Center for Coastal Studies performed sediment collection and analysis for zinc in Nueces Bay and the Inner Harbor.   A compilation of a geodatabase of all existing water, sediment and tissue data for Nueces Bay and the Corpus Christi Inner Harbor were analyzed along with the development of a zinc loadings model. The results identified the need for more metals data from both Nueces Bay and the Inner Harbor using clean laboratory methods.
