Port Lavaca Bayfront Peninsula Improvements

Project Description

A 6-foot wide concrete cap was installed to seal the existing steel sheet pile bulkhead, and 350 linear feet of 6-foot wide concrete walkway was constructed atop the length of the targeted east wall bulkhead.  The ground behind the concrete cap was cut and shaped to provide a gentle slope from the existing ground level to the concrete walkway.  The degree of slope from existing ground level to walkway will ensure handicap accessibility is maintained.  A galvanized handrail was installed at water's edge along the walkway to ensure pedestrian and angler safety.
