Project Description
The goal of this project is to update the TGLO Oil Spill Planning and Response Toolkit’s Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) dataset. Data to update ESI wetlands will be collected, then used to develop criteria for updating the Texas Priority Protection Area dataset. Shoreline position and ESI shoreline type classification of the shoreline from the Matagorda Bay area to the US/Mexico border will be updated and methods for data collection and sharing for rapid shoreline assessments utilizing Unmanned Aerial Systems will be researched.
