Virginia Point Wetland Protection and Restoration

Project Description

Virginia Point is located on the southwest side of Galveston Bay in Galveston County, Texas. The project will construct near-shore segmented rock breakwaters parallel to the Virginia Point shoreline, extending down the shoreline approximately 10,000 feet.  The breakwaters will provide shoreline protection and enhance restored wetlands.
