Park Board U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Permit Amendments

Project Description

This project is seeking to amend two existing Galveston Park Board USACE permits to add upland sand sources.  The amended permits will incorporate potential sand sources identified  through the Upland Sand Source Assessment.  Identification of  upland sources is only  half of the solution­ amendment  existing permits is necessary to capitalize on the results of pending investigative efforts.  Included as a function of good governance is the understanding that available resources would be permitted and handled in a manner consistent with local, State and Federal law. Modification of the Park Boards USACE  permits ensures those actions will be handled in a responsible and legal manner.
