Project Description
The goal of this project is to promote effective regional ocean governance in the Gulf of Mexico through continued support of GOMA’s PITs. This will be achieved by sustained management and development of specific actions to accomplish objectives listed in GOMA’s Action Plan II (APII). Specifically, GOMA’s EIA PIT actively coordinates projects designed to:
- Develop regional data systems that contain environmental and economic data
- Establish strategic partnerships to fill data gaps
- Provide ecosystem management decision-support tools
