Charlie's Pasture Land Acquisition

Project Description

The City has been able to acquire 370 parcels of land, composed of approximately 400 acres to insure the halt of erosion along the Ship Channel, protecting the shoreline, uplands and tidal flats. Portions of the acquired land and lease land will become the Port Aransas Nature Preserve with installed elevated boardwalks and observation towers, to allow the public to view and learn about these types of habitats.
