Project Description
Marsh restoration will consist of raising the bay bottom to a target elevation of +0.8 ft and +1.5 ft NAVD in order to support low-marsh communities; leaving open-water channels at current depths to allow for adequate water circulation; and appropriate vegetation was planted within the raised areas. A rock revetment, was constructed on the existing outer earthen berm, forming a breakwater to protect the marsh complex and causeway.
