The Alamo to host live music festival on March 3
As the Alamo commemorates the 183rd anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo, we are excited to invite you to our sixth annual Crockett Fiddle Fest.Visitors will be treated to a full day of western swing, bluegrass and old-time country music in the beautiful Alamo Gardens. The bands that will be performing include Roadside Libby, Celtaire String Band, Mario Flores and the Soda Creek Band, Bret Mullins Band, Big Cedar Fever and more. This event is free to the public and the media is encouraged to attend.

Applications considered for funding include studies and projects intended to address habitat restoration, coastal erosion, mitigate the effect of coastal erosion, or maintain or enhance beach stability or width.

The Galveston Seawall Restoration project will be recognized at the 2019 Coastal Summit Program in Washington D.C., March 12-14. “Our Texas beaches are a crucial part of our communities,” said Commissioner Bush.
